Meet Carol Greenberger:

EMDR Therapist in Asheville, North Carolina

I help you reconnect with your whole self—mind, body, and spirit.

Welcome! I'm Carol Greenberger, a licensed EMDR therapist offering holistic therapy services in Asheville, NC. The culmination of my life’s experiences—personal, creative, and professional—has shaped how I show up as a therapist today. My work is deeply rooted in compassion, intuition, and a calling to help others heal and grow.

An Intuitive, Creative Approach to Healing

From an early age, I knew I wanted to help people. Over time, I discovered that I had a natural gift for seeing the strengths and potential in others—often before they could see it themselves. This intuitive ability has been central to both my life and my work as a therapist.

As an artist myself, I love working with creative individuals—writers, musicians, visionaries, and entrepreneurs. Creativity isn’t just about making art; it’s a life force that helps you move toward your goals and express your truth. Whether you're leading a company, navigating a life transition, or simply feeling stuck, I help you access the creative part of you that already holds the answers.

A Holistic, Mindful Therapy Practice

My approach to therapy is holistic and integrative. In addition to EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), I draw from psychodynamic, relational, and mindfulness-based practices. I also bring in tools from natural healing disciplines I’ve studied for years—such as yoga, meditation, and nutrition—to support your well-being on all levels.

Healing isn’t just about talking—it’s about reconnecting with your whole self: body, mind, and spirit.

Rooted in Nature, Inspired by the Mountains

When I’m not in the therapy room, you’ll find me walking in the woods, canoeing, swimming, painting, or meditating. Nature is where I feel most grounded. My favorite place to be is among the trees—especially here in the Grandfather Mountains of North Carolina, some of the oldest mountains in the world.

My mother was a South Carolina girl raised near the Appalachian Mountains, and I often visited this area as a child. In 2009, I followed the pull to return with my family and build a life in this serene and inspiring place. I believe the healing energy of the mountains is part of what makes Asheville so special—and it influences the energy I bring to my work.
