Miley Cyrus Shares Her Experience With EMDR
Take a listen to what Miley Cyrus has to say about her experience with EMDR! I’m so impressed that she did EMDR and was willing to share it with the world, but also the transformative experience she had doing it! I am continually amazed at the power of this therapy modality. It works differently with everyone, depending on one’s issues and history. It is a therapy that simulates the REM process, so it’s good for general brain function, building new neural pathways and increasing neuroplasticity, making the brain younger and healthier in a sense. Although it was originally developed to heal from trauma, it can help with any issue one would go to therapy for. It helps you process and sort though anything you’re thinking about or trying to figure out. We all have so much knowledge and so many resources in our subconscious minds that we have gleaned over the years, that we don’t necessarily have access to on a day to day basis. Apparently Einstein made a comment about how most of us only use 7% of our brain’s capacity, but EMDR can help us gain access to much more of our potential resources. And it just makes our brains work more efficiently. I’ve seen it help students with school, people in their stressful jobs, and also artists, writers and musicians, in their creative endeavors. In my opinion it is something that anyone can benefit from.
